A New Place for Care, Community & Connection
Our first Harmony Adult Day Care Center is now open on Hayling Island, Hampshire! This center is located within the Hayling Island Community Centre (Station Road, Hayling Island, PO11 0HB) – a convenient, central location in the heart of the community. The Hayling Island Centre offers a bright, welcoming space where local seniors can enjoy all of Harmony’s signature activities and friendly companionship close to home. We will officially open our doors in Autumn 2026, and we are excited to serve families across Hayling Island and nearby areas with our day care program.
At the Hayling Island Centre, members benefit from the full range of Harmony services described above – from stimulating group activities to personalized care from our devoted staff. Being based at the community centre means we are truly integrated into the local community. Our attendees often reminisce and socialize in a familiar setting, and we sometimes join in community centre events or enjoy the lovely on-site garden and facilities. As always, the environment is dementia-friendly and wheelchair-accessible, ensuring all seniors feel comfortable and secure.
Opening Hours and daily schedule
A typical day at the Hayling Island Harmony Centre follows a structured yet flexible routine to balance activity and rest. For example:
9:30 AM – Warm welcome and morning tea/coffee as members arrive and settle in.
10:00 AM – Morning activity (exercise class, group game or craft workshop, varying by day).
12:00 PM – Relaxation break. Members unwind with newspapers or conversation; hot/cold drinks and light snacks available.
12:30 PM – Lunch time. A hot, nutritious meal is served for everyone to enjoy together.
1:30 PM – Free time. Personal relaxation, one-on-one activities, or quiet time as needed.
2:00 PM – Afternoon program (creative workshop, musical activity, or outdoor time if weather permits). We often serve tea/coffee with cake, fruit or biscuits during afternoon activities.
3:00 PM – Book club or reminiscence session. We gather to read aloud or share stories, wrapping up the day on a pleasant note.
3:30 PM – Closing time. Farewells and transportation home (family pickups or arranged transport).
This schedule may vary slightly day to day, but it gives an idea of the lively mix of activities and rest periods we provide. Whether it’s Monday or Saturday, our Hayling Island members can count on an engaging and caring environment throughout the week.
Pricing
The cost for attending the Hayling Island day center will be £11.50 per hour, with a minimum attendance of 4 hours per day. We offer flexible scheduling – you can choose which days of the week to attend, from one day a week up to six days, depending on your needs.
